HBO approached us to develop a brand activation strategy to promote and sell merchandise at several locations through a custom container and in-store fixture build for their entire range of merchandise with a feature on Game of Thrones.

Initial concepts

HBO had a number of upcoming media events which required a pop-up concept to market and sell merchandise as well as provide a consumer experience. The client liked the concept of a shipping container for the pop-up. We provided a concept and 3D render to them which showcased their product range across all brands, with an additional modular concept which highlighted the Game of Thrones brand. In addition, the Time Warner event in New York City would not allow containers, therefore we designed and built a retail showcase for merchandise within the event.

Research & Planning

From securing product and organizing product delivery and transportation for each city, our team provided staffing for each location, training and all production for each event. We also produced site plans, location scouting and ensured the client was updated on all aspects of the activation.

Event production

Apart from handling the entire production including location scouting, our team produced all site plans, communication with local city departments and planning for permits, and ensuring on-time arrival at each location. Our team also provided daily sales reports to the client.
